Uploading your footage to Oculo is the stepping stone to digitising your project. Check out this guide to find out how.
If you don't have the Upload App - please download newest version from here.
After completing a successful scan, you will need to upload your footage so it can be processed and published to Oculo.
What you will need:
- An activated Oculo account (look for an email from <noreply@oculo.ai> to activate your account).
- The Oculo Desktop Upload App.
- The camera with scan recorded.
How to Upload Your Recording
- Download and install the Oculo Upload App from the links above if you do not already have it on your computer.
- Double click on the Upload App icon to open.
- Log in with your Oculo credentials.
- If you are prompted to update the Upload App to a newer version, please do so.
- Once logged in, you will be prompted to select the camera directory - please ensure that your camera is plugged in and turned on, then navigate to the USB (D?E:) Drive -> DCIM -> Camera01 Folder and click 'Select Folder'. Note once selected, the folder will not show any files until you get to the next step.
- Wait for the files on the camera to be loaded, this may take a while if you have many new scans.
- You will see a list of scans on the camera, with their data and time, and their Status:
- New = a scan that has not yet been uploaded
- Uploaded - Processing = a scan that has been uploaded but not yet available
- Published = a scan that is available on the Oculo platform
- Select the site for which to upload a scan, confirm the scan date and add a description (in the Scan label field)
- Click the yellow cloud button to upload - note that you can add further uploads to the queue by clicking other yellow clouds
Note - once scans are Published and you are happy with the output, you can now delete the files from the camera from the Upload App by pressing the red dustbin on the right hand side if you wish.
