Are you having problems with platform loading?
This might be caused by a number of things, run through the suggestions listed below
The platform won't load or shows a blank screen
This is usually caused by a browser cache problem, an unsupported browser, or a network issue blocking Oculo's content.
Try these steps first
- Hard-refresh the page to bypass the cache (Ctrl/⌘ + Shift + R).
- Try a different browser. Oculo works best in Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge (latest versions). Firefox has known problems.
- Clear your browser cache and cookies, then reload the page.
Still blank?
Ask your IT team to check that app.oculo.ai and oculo.ai are not blocked by a firewall or proxy.
The 360° viewer won't open or is stuck loading
If you can see the site dashboard but scans won't open, or the viewer spins indefinitely, try the following.
Basic checks
- Hard-refresh the page (Ctrl/⌘ + Shift + R) before trying to reopen the scan.
- Check your internet connection — the 360° viewer streams high-resolution imagery and requires a stable connection.
- Disable browser extensions one by one, starting with any ad blockers or script blockers, as these can intercept the viewer's asset requests.
WebGL not available
Oculo's 360° viewer requires WebGL. If you see a message about WebGL or the viewer appears grey:
- In Chrome, go to Settings → System and ensure Use hardware acceleration when available is turned on.
- Update your graphics drivers.
- Visit get.webgl.org in the same browser — if the spinning cube doesn't appear, WebGL is blocked on your machine and your IT team will need to enable it.
Scan is processing
A scan that has been uploaded but not yet processed will not open in the viewer. Check the scan's status in the site dashboard - it should say Published when it is ready to view.
The platform is running slowly
Slow performance is most often a local resource issue rather than a platform outage.
- Close other browser tabs and applications - the 360° viewer is GPU-intensive.
- Check your available RAM. If your machine is under memory pressure, restarting the browser often helps.
- Connect to a faster network if possible. The viewer performs best on a wired connection or a strong Wi-Fi signal. Minimum recommended speed: 10 Mbps download.
- If you are on a VPN, try disconnecting it - some VPNs route traffic through servers that add significant latency to Oculo's delivered content.
- If performance is consistently poor across your whole team on a site network, ask your IT team to whitelist Oculo's domains so media is not being inspected by a proxy.
