We have enabled a feature to allow uploads directly to Oculo website, without needing to use the Desktop app. Read on for the instructions on how to do this!
Caution: with web upload there is no compression of scans taken in video mode (non-timelapse) so there will be significant data transfer that could take a long time on low bandwidth connections
Once web upload has been enabled for your site, the web upload page can be reached in 2 ways:
1. From the Home Dashboard, select the 3 dots next to the site name, then Upload, then Upload new scan
2. From the Site Dashboard, select the 3 dots from the menu at the top, then Upload, then Upload new scan
From the Web upload page:
- Plug your camera into your laptop and turn it on
- Navigate to the USB (E:) Drive, then DCIM folder, then Camera01 folder
- Identify the 2 or 3 files from your scan (with matching file timestamps)
Timelapse: 2 x VID files
Non-timelapse: 1 X LRV, and 2 x VID files - Drag and drop the relevant files into the box on the web upload page, add a Scan description, then select Upload
Note: You can only upload 1 scan at a time using web upload. You can open multiple tabs if you wish to upload additional scans.
5. Once the upload is complete, click Done to upload another file, or return to the Site Dashboard by selecting the back arrow in the top left
