My mobile app cannot find, or connect to the camera.

Is your mobile app having difficulties finding the camera? If so, try out these steps.

1. The camera needs to be turned on and awake to be found

Confirm that your camera is switched on and not in sleep mode - press and hold the power button until the camera turns on and the screen lights up.

2. Check that your mobile phone's WiFi and Bluetooth are enabled

Check your Bluetooth and WiFi settings - both of these must be turned on to connect to your camera.


Go to your phone's settings, and enable both Wifi and Bluetooth settings.

 

3. Try disabling any Local VPN or Ad blocker

These may block the camera connection, so try again once disabled.

 

4. Try to manually connect to the camera's Wifi signal

Open up the Wifi settings on your device, and it should find a network named "ONE..."

Connect to this network, and if it requests a password use 88888888

 



Once your phone is connected to the camera network, you should have no problems finding the camera in the Oculo app.

 

 

5. Download and try to connect to the camera with the Insta360 app

This is a dedicated app from the camera manufacturer - by downloading and trying to connect via this app, it will indicate whether the problem is with the camera/phone or with the Oculo mobile app.

Note: this is the Insta360 app that is required for this step, available from your app store.


To connect to the Insta360 app

  • Turn on WiFi and Bluetooth on your phone
  • Turn your camera on with the power button
  • Click the camera icon at the bottom of the Insta360 app homepage
  • Select Connect now and follow the onscreen instructions to connect your device.

    If the camera successfully connects to the Insta360 app, then close that app and try connecting via Oculo mobile app again.

     

    If none of these steps are successful, please click 3 dots in the top right corner of Oculo mobile app, and Report a problem, add a description and Upload report.

    This will send your mobile app logs to our help@oculo.ai team to investigate further.
