My phone is asking for a pin to connect the camera

Some Android phones may request a pin number when connecting to the camera for the first time - this is based on your device settings. Follow these steps to resolve.

First (and easiest) - try these default pin codes:

12345678

888888

88888888

The second method requires you to download the Insta360 app on the same mobile device

iOS: https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/insta360/id1491299654

Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.arashivision.insta360akiko&gl=GB

  1. Turn your camera on using the power button on the side.
  2. Ensure that your mobile device has Bluetooth, WiFi, and location services enabled.
  3. Open the Insta360 app, it may ask you to update the camera firmware - please proceed with this.
  4. From the Insta360 app homepage, press the camera button in the centre of the bottom menu.

  5. Select your camera from the list, and follow any steps required to enable the connection.
  6. Once you have successfully paired the camera with the Insta360 app, you can close the app and retry to connect via the Oculo Mobile App - this time the pin code should not be required.
